I have gathered so much wisdom during PWEM Bible Study. It includes a dedication to Jesus Christ, the need to examine ourselves and ask for the Holy Spirit’s confirmation before we do something. The act of salvation that we need to take seriously is the confession of sin, repentance of sin, and forgiveness of sin.

I have also learned how salvation can be compared to marriage relationship: The stage of dating, courtship, and engagement.

 

Confession of sin: Cleaning up and identifying who you are and what you have done.

For example - my name is Pauline. Where are you from? New York.

Confession is like when you are traveling by air and you go to the airport, the travel agent will ask you some questions. They will ask for your name, what is in your bag, and where you are going?

 

There are areas of relationship we tend to hide. So we avoid answering questions and get offended when questions are asked. There are questions that are supposed to be answered. 

It is a confession. It helps to identify who you are and what you are doing! It is the ability to identify who you are and what you used to be. 

 

For instance, there was a woman who used to wear tight pants to show off her body in order to attract men. Since she surrendered her life to Jesus Christ, she no longer wants to wear pants again. That is confession. The things I used to do I will not do them no more.

The enemy wants to interfere with you. He is jealous of you.

Lordship is like when you want Jesus to tell you whether to eat bread or rice for breakfast in the morning. That is how Jesus is Lord and Savior of ours. 

 

Jesus has saved us from our old ways. 

He is supposed to lead, instruct and direct our lives. 

He is the author of our lives. He is the leader and teacher.

We no longer have control over our lives.

We have to start our morning by worshiping, giving Him thanks and reading our Holy Bible.

Then we give Him the legal Authority of our day.

Jesus is our Lord. He is the way, the truth, and the life. 

He speaks unto us that we are the light of the world.

He delivers us from all evils.

 

Dr. Pauline told us that when she was younger, she used to hear the voice of the Lord through the scriptures. Whenever she was about to do something wrong, the scripture that she had read will correct her. Also, when she wanted to make a decision, the word of God would speak to her and direct her. She still experience that up to date.

Understand Salvation

 

I have gathered so much wisdom during PWEM Bible Study. It includes dedication to Jesus Christ, the need to examine ourselves, and ask for the Holy Spirit’s confirmation before we do something. The act of salvation that we need to take seriously is: confession of sin, repentance of sin and forgiveness of sin.

I have also learned how salvation can be compared to marriage relationship: The stage of dating, courtship and engagement.

 

Confession of sin: Cleaning up and identifying who you are and what you have done.

For example - my name is Pauline. Where are you from: New York.

Confession is like when you are traveling by air and you go to the airport, the travel agent will ask you some questions. They will ask for your name, what is in your bag, and where you are going?

 

There are areas of relationship we tend to hide. So we avoid answering questions and get offended when questions are asked. There are questions that are supposed to be answered. 

It is a confession. It helps to identify who you are and what you are doing! It is the ability to identify who you are and what you used to be. 

 

For instance, there was a woman who used to wear tight pants to show off her body in order to attract men. Since she surrendered her life to Jesus Christ, she no longer wants to wear pants again. That is confession. The things I used to do I will not do them no more.

The enemy wants to interfere with you. He is jealous of you.

Confession is a place where you identify what is going on in your life. So you confess your sins.

 

The first part of confession is to identify Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior.

Lord means the controller of your life. The leader of your life. The guide of your life.

It is to say that, today I’m letting go of my sinful ways.

Thursday, June 4th, 2020 (Day 1)

On the first day of Divine Encounter, Dr. Pauline Walley-Daniels combined our Sunday service topic on the “Awareness of Times and Seasons” with our Tuesday Bible Studies topic on “Salvation” to become the topic and focus for this year’s Divine Encounter conference. 

I learned that Divine means anything that is unusual and supernatural. 
Encounter is having an expectation that Jesus is with you, and will always be with you. 
It is to know and understand that God will show up for you. 
It is a place where God trains you for your destiny. 
It is a face to face contact with someone you did not think you will meet. 
Divine Encounter is the place of dependency. 
It is the quality of having heaven on earth. 
Dr. Pauline referred to the scriptures Ephesians 1:4-6 and Psalm 119:1-3. 

Friday, June 5th, 2020 (Day 2)

During Day 2’s session, I learnt that we should not get to the point where we are familiar with God. We also spoke about the word manifestation. 

This means an appearance of things that are spiritual in reality. 
It is proof that God is hearing and answering us. 
It is also a demonstration of power, presence and the glory of God. 
Manifestation comes from the act of prayer. 
The word of God manifests as a seed. 
When we read the word of god, we are sowing seeds into our lives. 
We need to identify our prayer and not just pray. 
When we speak to our seeds, we produce the right seed. 
The scripture is our legal grounds and that is what we need to defend our seeds. 
Manifestation of the word of God comes in three forms: water, oil and fire.
Water represents washing. Oil represents anointing. It heals whichever areas we have brokenness. 

Saturday, June 6th, 2020 (Day 3)

During our third day, Dr. PWD discusses sweet aroma. 

I learned that love is an aroma. 
It is the sweetness of the Holy Spirit. 
For example, a tangerine is extremely sweet. 
That is how the Holy Spirit is. 
An encounter occurs when God connects to you. 
He makes us lovelier, polite and etc. 
Another word for miracle is Divine Encounter. 
Divine Encounters transforms your life; you can no longer be the same. 
The opposite of aroma is odor. 

Sunday, June 7th, 2020 (Day 4)

On the last day of the conference, I learned that solution is dealing with difficult situations in order to obtain results. 

It is the manner of solving problems. 

A way to assess the solution is to identify the struggles and problems. 

We must ask ourselves, what is the root cause of the problem? 

Who started the hindrance? 
Was it your mother, father or grandparents etc.?

It is important we speak up. 

Sometimes families do not desire to speak up which causes them to hinder their own blessings.
They conceal the problem. 
For example, they may say “Do not speak about that. Our grandfather told us not to speak on it so we will not talk about it.”

We have to be sincere with ourselves and ask ourselves, “Are we willing to Receive Solutions? This is important because sometimes we want solutions but are not ready to embrace these solutions. 

We should not receive the solutions and look back. 
We should not be like Lot’s wife. 
We need to look up to the Lord (Psalm 121:1). 

Solution needs our cooperation to manifest in our lives. 

We need to share solutions with those who we don’t know (Exodus 15:1). 
God sends us solutions, but only when we have learned how to humble ourselves.
